What's the difference between energy pouches and snus?
Many people think energy pouches are harmful because they look like snus. Classic snus and nicotine pouches contain nicotine and often tobacco. Nicotine is addictive, and tobacco is linked to well-known health risks – including for the gums and oral mucosa.
Energy pouches contain neither tobacco nor nicotine. The risks known from snus stem mainly from exactly these two substances. The active ingredient in energy pouches is caffeine – the same substance as in coffee or tea – often complemented by vitamins.

Are energy pouches bad for your gums and teeth?
What makes snus problematic for your mouth isn't in energy pouches. Energy pouches contain no tobacco and no nicotine, and many flavors are sugar-free. Sugar is considered one of the main causes of tooth decay.
